Accreditation
We remain accredited by AGPAL, the Australian GP Accreditation Body. This means we have been assessed as meeting the highest standards set for General Practices by the Royal Australian College of GPs. We have been an Accredited Practice since 2003.

Feedback
From time to time, patients will be invited to complete a questionnaire about their views on the practice and how it can be improved. Such surveys are confidential, and help us to help you. Of course, we welcome feedback at any time. Should you be unhappy with any aspect of the care you receive here, please discuss this with your Doctor, a Receptionist, or the Practice Manager. If you feel that there is a problem you wish to follow up outside the Practice, you may prefer to contact the QLD Health Ombudsman on 133 OHO (133 646), or visit www.oho.qld.gov.au

Patient Education
We are committed to furthering the health of our patients and feel that a well-informed patient will have a greater understanding of their condition, and manage it better. We encourage our patients to ask questions about their condition and management, to seek further information and to become a partner with their GP in managing the condition. Your GP can provide educational materials during your consultation, and may suggest useful websites to provide additional information.

Privacy
We abide by the Australian Privacy Principles (APP), available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index.htm

As a provider of medical services, we need to obtain personal and sensitive information about you in order to carry on our business. We have developed appropriate policies and procedures within the practice to ensure we comply with the APP, with regard to the collection, use of and appropriate circumstances for disclosure of your information, your right to access, and correct if needed, the information we hold, and what we do if you have a complaint about how we have handled your information. Reception Staff
Our friendly Reception staff are your first point of contact for all matters you have as a patient. Please feel free to ask them questions, whether presenting in person or enquiring on the phone. Please remember that they are not medically trained, and can only answer questions of a general nature, and are unable to give medical advice.

Sterilisation
Please note that all surgical equipment used in the Practice is either single-use disposable or has been rigorously sterilised using our accredited and validated Autoclave.
