This practice operates on an appointment system, with (industry-standard) 15-minute appointments. You can make appointments in person at the desk, by telephone, or online via your computer or mobile phone. When making an appointment by phoning 07 3378 1600, or dropping in, please ask for the Doctor of your choice. If you feel your appointment may take extra time (such as complex conditions, multiple problems, depression and stress etc), please discuss this with the Receptionist so a longer consultation time can be allocated (and note that your Gap Fee is no greater than for a Standard-length consultation). Should you be making an appointment for a Procedure or a Medical, please advise the Receptionist, as there may be different arrangements needed for different items. See also our FAQ page for special patient groups and services. If you feel your condition is urgent and cannot wait for the next available appointment, please discuss this with the Receptionist.
When you arrive for a scheduled appointment, please report to Reception. Please advise of any change of address, phone numbers or email address at this time. If you think you are infectious, or are too ill or distressed to sit in the waiting room, please advise the Receptionist on arrival. We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment – if you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment, as we strive not to have our Doctors running too late. New patients must arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment time, as we need the extra time to gather required information and input your details into our computer system.
If you are unable to attend a booked appointment at the allotted time, we ask that you telephone and advise us of this in plenty of time, so your appointment time can be allocated to someone else. Please be advised that repeated non-attendance without cancelling appointments will incur a fee, which is non-refundable by Medicare.
Home Visits may be available to our regular patients who live in the local area (within 3 km), subject to Doctor availability. They are for patients who are unable, through severe illness / immobility, to attend an appointment at the Practice. Should you desire a Home Visit, please ring and talk to our Reception staff who will discuss the situation with your Doctor and make appropriate arrangements. Please note that the visit may not be able to be accommodated on the same day requested. Please also note Home Visits are not Bulk-Billed for any patients.
If medical attention is required after hours, please telephone our Deputising Service – Home Doctor Service – on 13 SICK / 13 7425 or book a home visit online on www.homedoctor.com.au to arrange an after-hours Home Visit. Note that fees may be charged for this service, but Members of their Friendly Care Society, children under 16 years of age, and Pension & Health Care Card holders can have their after-hours visit Bulk-Billed. Click on the “BOOK ONLINE” button on any page on our site, register (if it’s your first time) and log in with our secure online booking system (provided by Health Engine) to make an appointment quickly and easily. It’s even easier on your mobile phone using the free Health Engine app from the App store.
